I've had 2 rollerfeeders now for 2yrs and can attest they are THE best product on the market for keeping squirrels out! The birdseed stays dry and there is no waste. So glad to hear about the red in the suet feeder.

"...it's the best thing that happened to bird-feeding."
Mine has been up for a few
months and it's the best thing that ever happened to 'bird-feeding'. The squirrels don't even eyeball it any more. They just sit on the ground and pick up any seed that is dropped. And
THAT is very little ! It DID take about a month to get the birds to start using it, but now it's their regular dinner table.
We have had one of your feeders for 3-4 years. It works so well that my husband requested another. The bird feeders are his project, and he says that it is so much better in all respects that he never wants another of the tube type feeders again! The tube feeders seed gets clumped and moldy at the bottom, and the baffle we have over the top gets messed by birds and carries "all kinds of bacteria!" (He is a biochemist.) Your feeder is easy to fill, keeps the seed dry (even in wind and rain), allows the birds to empty it completely and stays clean of bird droppings. If seed falls to the ground, the quail, juncos and towhees
gladly pick up.
We are customers forever, so keep up the good work! It is worth the initial cost, since we have replaced the tube feeder at least yearly at about $20 a pop. And the squirrels don't even try anymore, though it was funny to watch when they did!
...LOVE my 5-year old RollerFeeder that has now survived SIX, count 'em SIX, black bear attacks. It's actually un-American and flies in the face of all-holy capitalism: RollerFeeders don't seem to abide by the rule of planned obsolescence and they actually do what they say they'll do (defeat squirrels)! Well done!!
DONE IT!!!! I really had my doubts after trying so many
different versions of squirrel proof feeders. But I have to 'hand it to you'...You did a
MARVELOUS job. I hung the feeder when it came in early December. The squirrels tried
for a couple of days, and were unsuccessful. It took the birds over a month to use it
though. But now, in mid February the small birds are on it regularly, and the squirrels won't even
attempt it any longer. CONGRATULATIONS to you and your wonderful design. Thank You SOOOOOO MUCH !
...without a doubt, the best constructed, ingenious, bird feeder that works 100% of the time, not a squirrel
has succeeded. They sit on top of the arch, angry, switching their tails back and forth, sometimes for an hour, trying to plan in their little brains how to get into that sunflower seed. Thanks for being a wonderful company.
Joyce - Kingston, New Hampshire
I'm so impressed with the ingenious design, solid construction and
squirrel-confounding entertainment that I
just wanted to share - but I receive no benefit, financial or otherwise from this
I am a Licensed Master Bander and former President of Audubon Society of Central Arkansas, former board member of both state Audubon and Arkansas Wildlife Federation, and have been birding 40 years this year. Your design is the best I have ever seen. We will see
tomorrow if form rises to function. The suet feeder is a work of art, by the way, perfect size!
FIRST WAVE OF SQUIRREL ATTACKS REPULSED THIS A.M.!!!!!!!!!
Birds were on it like locust in less than five minutes. Never seen a feeder attacked so
quickly—probably because of visibility from all that plexi-glass (polycarbonate).
If you designed these you are an engineering genius. My suet feeder was COVERED this a.m. at
dawn! Carolina Wren, cardinals, American Gold finch’s etc.
I bought two of these. They are amazing, and the ONLY feeder that my aggressive squirrels cannot get
into. They are now reduced to sitting on the ground under the feeder to scrounge for any
seeds dropped by the birds. Highly recommend this, it is the last one you will ever need to buy!
I bought 3 of the "roller feeders" back in the spring and
I am 100% satisfied that I have the best feeders made. I drew in more birds, LESS SQUIRRELS and used far less seed to feed more birds ... a Win Win Win situation. I have not seen the 1st
squirrel get a seed out of mine and they have actually just given up.
Rollerfeeder not only had a great idea - they have produced this idea into a real winner.
THANK YOU!!! We absolutely marvel over how smart you are as the designer of these wonderful feeders. My 95 year old aunt has a picture window in her family room that she looks out of all day. She had given up her love of feeding the birds because she was losing seed to the squirrels in every feeder we tried including “squirrel proof feeders” She claimed the squirrels she had could outsmart any design, and was reluctant to use it. Well, let me tell you... not only did your feeder keep them out, they don’t even come around anymore. It’s funny... now she hopes a squirrel will come. It was so much fun watching them fall off while trying to figure it out. Thank you for your wonderful feeder. It has certainly added to the quality of her life in the enjoyment she has in watching the birds flock to your feeder.
birds -- at our feeder, including a cardinal..."
Guess I didn't wait long enough for the birds
to come because the day after I wrote to you we had birds -- lots of birds -- at our
feeder, including a cardinal that almost ate there but a sparrow scared him away.
I can't begin to thank you for all your help and follow-through in trying to help me --you'll be in business a very long-long-long
time with your attitude towards your customers! Thanks for remarkable customer
service and a superb, quality, heavy-duty product!!! (You may use the above as an
I recently purchased the
RF2-Cardinal model. I usually do not take the time to write a testimonial but in this case I just had to. I wanted to let you know that at this point the RollerFeeder has defeated 100% of the Gray Squirrels that it has encountered and I am a 100% satisfied customer. I also wanted to let you know that I am completely satisfied with the
construction and the overall integrity of the product. Your company has been there to answer my questions in order to purchase the correct unit for my needs. Your web site is second to none and offers valuable information about feeding birds and appreciating the satisfaction that comes with it.
bird feeders are the best! I purchased one of these over a year ago and have been so pleased that I
have decided to add a second for my front yard! How is it that your products are not more well known?
They are a slight bit pricey, but they are awesome! Thank you so much for coming up with such a great product! It is true that
necessity is the mother of all invention - and that small businesses are the heart of our great country!
And yes, the simplest things in life give the most pleasure! Thank you, again!
My husband and I are delighted. We have bought three from you and this will be our 4th, and not our last. My husband's boss recently bought one after a conversation of how the squirrels were eating all her bird seed in her feeders. They are by far the best feeder in the world and 110% squirrel-proof!!!!! Thank you again.
Just wanted to drop a quick line to say a big THANK YOU!!!! for a true 110% squirrel proof bird feeder! The squirrels stay on the ground now after taking too many tumbles (sweet revenge! ) trying to get to my expensive bird seed. The songbirds just LOVE the roller feeder. Now they can all eat in peace without being run off by
greedy squirrels! THANKS again for making the PERFECT squirrel proof bird feeder! I plan on ordering a bigger roller feeder this summer!
These really, really, really ARE squirrel-proof. I've had mine a year and no squirrel has found a way to get to the seed. If you have a major squirrel population, these feeders pay for themselves in a month or two.
It's the dead of winter here in central Jersey, and it's wonderful to be able to feed our non-migrating birds through the miserable, cold weather. And it's even more wonderful that they get to eat all the food, and the squirrels don't. I have 2 feeders, and both have been very active since I got them last summer. Like John from Massachusetts, my squirrels are also Ivy League-educated, and they figured out how to get into (and destroy) every other feeder I've had. But these defeat them--- they learned VERY quickly that they would fall off, and they didn't like it. The feeders are safe and intact, and the birds flock like mad for breakfast and lunch.
These are, without question or doubt, THE BEST bird feeders out there. They are also indeed 100% squirrel proof. I'm amazed, delighted, and I can't praise you enough. I've also recommended RollerFeeders to many others.
Your design should win awards, seriously. Essentially simple, but brilliant,
I'm so glad I found you.
Long may you roll!
"...a squirrel proof bird feeder that actually works"
Thanks so much for designing a squirrel proof feeder that actually works and looks good throughout the seasons! We
bought our first roller feeder a year ago and, even after going through a Michigan winter, it still looks brand new. It took a couple weeks for the birds to get used to it, but once they did, you can hardly keep them off it!
- Grayling, MI
...this has been a brilliant investment"
Just to say this has been a brilliant investment, the birds love it, and we have hours of amusement watching squirrels try
unsuccessfully to get seed. The cardinals took a while to get the hang of it, and now all the birds are feeding just fine. It has attracted the attention of a local hawk, who we hope will take care of the squirrel population at a more fundamental level.

tried their best, even trying two at a time..."
have been fighting the squirrels for years, I like them and even put feed out for them but could not find a bird feeder they did not eat from and
destroy. I love my roller feeder!! The squirrels tried their best, even trying two at a time hanging on but now they seem to have given up and pay no attention to the feeder and my little birds eat all day. Cardinals, finch, sparrows, titmouse, etc. It is great!
Love my roller feeder! I get all sorts of birds; even got a curious bluebird. Cardinals, all kinds of finches, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadee, titmouse, goldfinches, all kinds! Love it Love it Love it!!!

Greetings from St. Louis, Missouri. While I don't have any pictures to share with you (maybe someday I'll learn how to do that), my bird feeder is constantly filled with throngs of house finches, and occasionally cardinals, bluejays and robins. I have to refill the feeder everyday with black oil sunflower seeds. It's such a pleasure to sit and watch them. It took about two months before they found it, but how they do love it! And the squirrels are no longer a problem!
I did "stretch" a bit on the price as I thought it expensive for my budget. But, it has been worth every single penny! I show it to all my friends who come over and they enjoy watching the birdies also.
I am so glad I found this fantastic
Hi, just wanted to let you know that this thing appears indeed to be deer-proof. I left it outside last night overnight, which is the true test, and it looks like it survived, so I would advise you to mention deer-resistance on your website -- you'd probably sell more! "
I want to tell you that I hung my
two seed feeders and suet feeder up Friday morning, and starting Saturday I have perched myself in front of my window starting at near dawn. It has taken several days for the 8 squirrels to really get brave enough to attack them, but yesterday and today they could not stop trying to get at it from all directions. YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! WHY
DOESN'T THE ENTIRE BIRD FEEDING WORLD KNOW ABOUT YOU? NEVER, NEVER STOP making these. What a superbly built, simple but brilliant device!
It has been especially intriguing to watch the chickadees and finches discover the joy of feeding from the two new roller feeders. They sing out very excitingly which literally brings the angry squirrels from far distances to try AGAIN to conquer the feeders. What a hoot.
are six different feeders in my garage that all claimed to be squirrel proof. Obviously these squirrels must benefit from living
only a few miles from Harvard University, since they've outwitted every one of them--and I have pictures of them in the act to prove
it. Only the Rollerfeeder is still out there, guaranteeing the birds access to food without competition or finding an empty tray.
Yes I ordered 2 sent to my house. We wanted another one and I ordered one for our neighbor as a house warming gift. She saw ours and loved it. The other one is to be sent to my husbands 89 year old aunt in New Hampshire.
These are the most awesome bird feeders. We have tons of squirrels and they have been very creative with our prior feeders. If they couldn't get on them they would chew the cord. Even wire didn't stop them. It's so amazing that they go all around the roller feeder and don't even try to jump on. We also have a large population of huge Blue Jays, or, as my hubby calls them "bully
birds. They still fly all around but they can't keep the beautiful cardinals, robins, wrens, chickadees, mockingbirds, etc away from the feeder. The Blue Jays and Doves pick the scraps off the ground instead of hogging the feeder.
We LOVE this bird feeder and it's the first one we've seen that really IS squirrel proof. Thanks so much. Looking forward to having one in the front yard next!
The feeder is fabulous….it ACTUALLY WORKS with the little grey critters….you built a better – well, not a better mousetrap, a better squirrel proof feeder. My husband is amazed! It actually allows us to relax a little more, now that we’re not chasing squirrels out of/off of the feeder we replaced.
We are now considering also getting the suet “roller”….Thanks for a wonderful product!
By the way my 2 rollers feeders
that I purchased from you 6 or 7 years ago are still going strong. And still
no squirrels. Life is good.
Regards - Curt,
"...four black bear attacks!"
I'm pleased to share that my now 5-year old (?) roller feeder has survived without a blemish at least four black bear attacks! I've only had to reshape the hanger, which keeps getting stretched. Might even have to replace it eventually. When it was brought down, apparently with some force, the feeder must have just emptied out, satisfying the bear, and doesn't have so much as a scratch on it. And the squirrels have pretty much just given up.
I love my Roller Feeder. Not only can the squirrels not get to the feed, but it solved my problem with nuisance birds. Nothing larger than a cardinal or small woodpecker even bothers to try anymore. The Roller Feeder has more than paid for itself in feed savings!
We hung our new feeder under a roof overhang quite near a kitchen window. Possibly because of the location, it took several weeks before we got bird customers in any quantity, but the squirrels found the
feeder in one day. Scorecard: birds-all kinds;
squirrels-all defeated; customer-one very satisfied. Please add this letter to your testimonials.
I am so impressed with the first feeder that I have decided to buy a second one.
It is absolutely true the squirrels cannot get to the feed.
- Jacobus Pennsylvania.
"I decided to challenge your claim. I am not sorry.
I have not seen a squirrel get a single seed..."
I hesitated to spend so much money on a bird feeder, but figured if they didn’t work, I’d get my money back; so I took the plunge and bought a seed feeder and a suet feeder. Everyone told me there is no squirrel proof feeder, so considering the feeders I have had destroyed over many years, I decided to challenge your claim. I am not sorry. I have not seen a squirrel get a single seed from the Roller Feeder. They gave up in extreme frustration after awhile, but every time there is a new batch of babies, they try their luck. They’re too small to spin the housing, but try as they may, they can’t get their little heads between the bars! My seeds are safe and so is a lot of my money.

"...She loves it and it works fantastic."
Hi, My wife recently purchased a new feeder
from you folks. She loves it and it works fantastic. I am in the retail garden center business and sell bird supplies in addition to plants. Yours is the best squirrel-proof
feeder I have seen (and used). Do you sell wholesale direct or through distributors? I know we could sell these at my store. Let me know
Greetings! I installed your feeder and it is remarkably 100% squirrel proof!
I have it suspended from a wire, but gray squirrels were able to get at the 3 tube I had on the same spot. I'll save lots of money on seed. Thanks.
Gotta add my 2-cents worth here. Not without skepticism, I bought the Roller Feeder last August
and when it arrived, I bought a 50lb bag of black oil sunflower seeds. In past years, with other “squirrel proof feeders,” I’ve gone through at least 200lbs of seed, the squirrels having figured it out within 12 hours of hanging any feeder. Not this one! And it’s not for lack of trying. Once, I thought I was watching a squirrel who was going to crack the code, but he/she ended up completely failing. Now, in the middle of March, I still have about 1/3rd of my original bag of seed, so the savings is significant! I can’t recommend the Roller Feeder highly enough! It’s paid for itself in what I’ve NOT spent on feeding squirrels.
Your feeder has yet to be overcome by the infernal squirrels. It is a stellar product: superb construction, design, and
materials. My brother asked me for your web site. I gave it to him. He is considering a purchase from you.
Thank you for selling me your superb feeder.
I'm buying this for my mother in law's birthday because she hasn't had a
that could survive her squirrels. I've already purchased two for my yard and love them.
They ARE really squirrel proof.
- Ada, Oklahoma
"Your feeder does everything you have claimed."
Thank you. Your feeder does everything you have claimed. The squirrels cannot infiltrate the rollerfeeder. Your product is the best. Once again,
an intense thank you from an ecstatic

"This feeder really works...not just
squirrel and raccoon proof..."
This feeder really works. In my area (Ohio), we need starling proof feeders, not just squirrel and raccoon proof feeders because flocks of starlings will show up and empty a feeder in minutes. The
RollerFeeder's design keeps even starlings from raiding the seed while leaving it for lighter birds that aren't heavy enough to tip it. This is the only bird feeder I've ever owned that I'd buy again because it works as advertised.
squirrel-proof...I was fooled by two different kinds...."
I just ordered another wonderful squirrel proof
bird feeder. I have had one about two years now and it is the only one I have that is actually squirrel-proof....I was fooled by two different kinds....ordered them and have been watching the squirrels eat my
bird food and going crazy ..... I even put up a squirrel feeder so they would leave my birds alone....didn't work....they just ate all of theirs and then returned to eat the
birds food.....I am so angry at them.....but....another squirrel proof one is in the mail and then.....we'll see.......
" Rollerfeeders are 100% effective against our squirrels."
Your Rollerfeeders are 100% effective against our squirrels.
They'll shimmy down the feeder hanger, sit atop the housing and try every possible angle to access the feed--this act is repeated daily
as if the feeder might loose its rolling capability. As to the variety of birds we receive at your feeders, a wide range of migrating (from Lower 48 to Interior Alaska) and resident birds, including Yellow Warbler, Yellow Rumped Warbler, Barn Swallow, Lincoln's Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Pine Siskin, Black Capped
Chickadees, Gray-Cheeked Rosy Finch, and other guests.
I live in upstate NY and had to wait for the birds to "get it" and start feeding. I only use sunflower hearts (less mess under the feeder also) and when I was ready to give up - they started feeding. Major squirrel problem taken care of also. Bought one for my cousin in Maine and for the first time she is happy with a squirrel proof feeder that really works.

" a total hoot... "
...the best money I've spent in 20 years! It works great on the squirrels, in fact, that's a total hoot ... I watched
a female cardinal switch sides of the feeder for over a half hour!!
Love this feeder. It keeps out the jays, crows, doves and yes, squirrels. It even survived an attack from a 200 plus pound black bear that swiped it off its post and followed it over a deck railing to land 10 feet below into a forsythia bush.
Still works like new!

permanent traffic jam"
Please note I am ordering it in GREEN,
this is the second one I have ordered. The first one is a permanent traffic jam since I started using sunflower hearts per your
or so feeders (all destroyed by squirrels)"
Just thought I would share this bit of info. I purchased my feeder a few months ago. I received the feeder and upon opening the box I realized that it truly was a quality product!! I appreciate all things of good quality and not cheap imports, kudos on being an American made product.
I installed the feeder and added whole sunflower kernels to attract the birds, I initially noticed that the birds didn’t come until about a week later and now they are all over the place. I have also had the privilege of watching a few squirrels attempt to steal some food but their attempts were thwarted. I also noted that I didn’t have the mass of seeds all over the ground like my last, it seems, dozen or so feeders (all destroyed by squirrels). I told my father-in-law about the feeder, showed him your website and he ordered one as well.
Thanks for producing a great product and I might just have to get a second one
in the future.
Thank-you for responding so
quickly, I currently own one of your best seller models, and enjoy it immensely! I have determined that I need
another feeder because there is not enough room for the birds that currently frequent the one feeder that is in place. The one feeder is
mounted on a 4x4 post, and the next one will be mounted on the same post, just on the other side.
Everyone that sees the feeder says that the design is genius, and although I have
squirrels, they have learned that they are wasting their time with this feeder. My
biggest problems are grackles and pigeons. They are also quickly deterred as well. So
thank-you for a wonderful product. I have tried multiple feeders over the years, and
have wasted countless dollars on bird seed, only to end up feeding the scrounger birds instead of the little
birds. The Roller Feeder is the best feeder money can buy, and folks will quickly
understand why, once they purchase one. So once again, thank-you for a wonderful product.
We've had our Rollerfeeder just a few weeks and it is already the best backyard investment we made. It has defeated all the gray squirrels and raccoons that used to wipe us out.
Using the recommended feed mix of 50% sunflower hearts and 25% sunflower seeds and safflower seed has attracted a wide variety of north Georgia birds. The Cardinals were the last to adapt.
I do recommend the metal hopper as the birds like to pull their favorite individual seeds through the openings rather than the tray.
Alright, I've had my rollerfeeder for almost 4 weeks now. I have quite a
few grey squirrels as well as a red squirrel. NONE, even the small red squirrel, have been able to beat this feeder!!! The red squirrel has
tried a few times, but can never get to the seed. The greys have tried as well, and every now and then, they do try again, but still, they cannot
get to the seed! I caught one grey squirrel one morning, hanging onto the metal bars upside-down, ferociously biting the metal bars because he was
soooo frustrated!! I have to admit, that I am beaming with pride at
beating these guys - lol!! I especially love that I don't need to
purchase any other "anti-squirrel" stuff like baffles and what-not.
I have my feeder in a tamarack tree. There is a branch below it, about 11/2 to 2 feet from the bottom of the feeder. The squirrels have attempted
to jump up to the feeder from that branch below it, but to no avail!! Haha!!
Thank YOU for making such a nice-looking product that actually does what it says it does!!! And why haven't I heard of this product before?!?!
This should be in EVERY store!!! I found your website by chance, by searching on Google. I plan on getting a suet feeder at some point too.
Well worth EVERY cent!!
Well, let's hear about the products that you've bought that actually work! Did you buy it with the feeling that it probably wouldn't work, and were amazingly surprised when it did??!
I'll start. I love feeding the birds - just love it. But I recently had to get rid of my pole-feeder due to bears and/or raccoons tearing it down I learned that you could still feed during the summer months as long as it wasn't suet (I think that's what drew out my "attacker") and the hanger was at least 10 feet off the ground and 6 feet away from a tree trunk. But I feared that no matter what feeder I got to hang in a tree, squirrels would be its nemesis. I've heard all the claims and seen all the videos about feeders claiming to be squirrel-proof. I've seen the videos of the ones that use batteries and spin the squirrels off the bottom. And I've seen the videos of squirrels beating that system too.
So, when I found this product, the RollerFeeder, I was dubious of its claims to be squirrel proof. But, after viewing some videos and really thinking about the product's design, I figured I'd try it - especially with the guarantee it came with (capture video of a squirrel
leisurely eating from it = money back and get to keep feeder).
Not ONE squirrel has been able to feed from it - including the nimble, tiny, agile, light-weight red squirrel - MY nemesis The grey squirrels (five total) all tried to eat from it once, and that was it. The red squirrel tried two times, and that was it. My birds are happily eating, while the squirrels clean up the stuff that's been dropped. This thing actually IS squirrel proof!! I HIGHLY recommend it (unless of course you want to feed the squirrels ).
I purchased your Roller Feeder from you a little over a year ago and it's absolutely great! No gray squirrels, no red squirrels, and finally NO RACCOONS!
It would be great if you adapted your Roller Feeder bin for a suet block with a mechanism to somehow snap open or slide open your cage for easy suet access.
Thanks for considering this. I'm sure it would sell! Please let me know if you do re-tool your Roller Feeder for suet. I would be happy to try out the prototype.
Thanks for your great product!
Peter - Sidney Maine
I wanted to tell you that I love my RollerFeeders. I ordered two in late August – RF2 and RF2 Suet. I live in Northeastern PA and was constantly battling with the squirrels in my yard because I live in the woods. I tried everything before, buckets over the posts, milk jugs over the poles, baffles, nothing worked. I was going thru birdseed, suet, and sunflower seeds like there was no tomorrow. It’s been about 2 months since I’ve installed my feeders and the squirrel population has greatly diminished, I think they gave
up. They now have to eat what’s been dropped on the ground. It did take the woodpeckers a while to get used to the feeder, but now they love it. I only fill the sunflower seed feeder about every 3-4 days, and the suet has not emptied yet. I can’t thank you enough for this great product. I am now thinking about purchasing a feeder for regular seed,
the cost I am saving in food has more than paid for these wonderful feeders.
I bought one of your feeders and It's worth every penny. It is
terrific. The squirrels don't even go near it now...they tried it a
couple times and that's all she wrote. I'm very happy with it.
"A neighbor who wants to order..."
Hello…I recently ordered the Roller Feeder and find it is just what I was looking for!!! It works! .. I have a neighbor who wants to order one, but she doesn’t have a computer. Can she call you and place an order?
Thank you. Sincerely, Nancy
