Gotta add my 2-cents worth here. Not without skepticism, I bought the Roller Feeder last August and when it arrived, I bought a 50lb bag of black oil sunflower seeds. In past years, with other “squirrel proof feeders,” I’ve gone through at least 200lbs of seed, the squirrels having figured it out within 12 hours of hanging any feeder. Not this one! And it’s not for lack of trying. Once, I thought I was watching a squirrel who was going to crack the code, but he/she ended up completely failing. Now, in the middle of March, I still have about 1/3rd of my original bag of seed, so the savings is significant! I can’t recommend the Roller Feeder highly enough! It’s paid for itself in what I’ve NOT spent on feeding squirrels.
